AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6633 OF THE CITY OF LUBBCX:: K
SOAS TO CORRECT THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF A PORTION OF 66TH
STREET WEST OF UTICA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK
COONTY, TEXAS, AS CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6633 ABANDONING
AND CLO.HNG SAID PORTION OF 66TH STREET; AND PROVIDING ALL OTHER
PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE SHALL REMAIN THE SAME; AND PROVID ...
ING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it expedient and in the public interest to cor-
rect an error in legal description as referred to in the caption hereof, and as
more fully set forth in the body hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the legal description of the portion of street abandoned and
closed by said Ordinance No. 6633 contained in Section 1 of said Ordinance is here,.
by amended to affect a correctinn. thereof by changing the same to read hereafter
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears West a distance of 297. 39 feet
from the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter <i> of Section 10,
Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West a distance of 816.68 feet;
THENCE N 71 o 55t 3011 W a distance of 83.88 feet;
THENCE East a distance of 731. 99 feet, along the future R ... o-w
line of 66th Street;
THENCE along a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of
533.00 feet, a delta angle of 17° sat 11 ''., tangents of 84. 28 feet,
and a chord distance of 166.48 feet to the place of BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT in all other respects said Ordinance No. 6633 shall
remain the same, and is in all such respects ratified and confirmed hereby.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
