AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TWO-WAY TRAFFIC ON lOTH STREET FROM ITS
INTERSECTION WITH AVENUE T TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH AVENUE S; P~ESCRIBING A
PENALTY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND EFFECTIVE DATE 0~ THIS
ORDINANCE. :

WHEREAS, after traffic engineering studies having been ma!e and
reported to the City Council of the City of Lubbock, said City ouncil finds
it is in the interest of the public safety and public welfare t improve
traffic conditions in the City of Lubbock to change one-way traffic on lOth
Street from Avenue T to AvenueS to two-way traffic on said lOth·Street; NOW
THEREFORE: .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT from and after the passage and effective date of this
ordinance, two-way traffic for both east and west bound traffic .is immed-
iately established on lOth Street from its intersection with Av,nue T to its
intersection with Avenue S, all being done in the City of Lubbo k, Lubbock
County, Texas. .
i' SECTION 2. THAT any person, firm or corporation violatind the provi-
11 sions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined any sum not to
.i exceed TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00). I
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is authorized and dirdcted to cause
the publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance, together with
penalty provision, as an alternative method of publication as p~ovided by
law, and this Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days af~er its last
publication. :
