ORDINANCE NO. 6655
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1875: CHANGE LOTS 2 and 7 OUT OF A PRELIMINA
PLAT OF COMMANDERS ADDITION OUT OF SECTION 43> BLOCK AK> CITY OF
LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS., FROM AN "R-111 ZONING DISTRICT T
A "SPECIFIC USE., MOBILE HOME PARK"; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS; PROVID C
A SA VlNGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDffiG FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, after receiving the recommendations of the Planning and ZOPling
Commission and after due notice and public hearing and all matters having been
done and performed as required by Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinar.:c(! No. 1695 of
the City of Lubbock, (said Ordinance being an Appendix to the Lubbock City Code)
it would be expedient and in the interest of the public health, morals and general
welfare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit as hereinafter set
forth, NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY'EE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is
authorized to issue a Specific Use Permit to the Applicant in Zone Case No. 1875
in accordance with the recommendations and conditions imposed by the Planning
and Zoning Commission, on file with the office of the Director of Planning, and th
City Council which are hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference fon a
purposes., provided said Applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of the Specific
Use Permit, the granting c:r which is hereby made subject to compliance to all pro
visions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 an Ordinance of the City of Lubbock, includi
particularly but not limited to1 Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 within
twenty-four (24) months &f the effective date of this Ordinance, the City Secretary
Treasurer shall be and is hereby authorized and instructed, upon written notice f
the Director of Planning that Applicant has not complied wUh the provisions, cond·
tions and terms imposed by this Ordinance, to note Applicant's failure to comply
on the margin of the Minutes of the City Council opposite entry of this Ordinance
and the authorization to issue such Specific Use Permit is hereby revoked; and the
Director of Planning in such event is directed to remove from the Zoning Map the
legend indicating such limited use. The Specific Use authorized by this Ordinance
is for Mobile Home Park, under provisions of Section 149A.l-19, of the Zoning
Ordinance on the property below described.
ZONE CASE NO. 1875:
Change lots 2 and 7 out of a preliminary plat of Commanders
Addition out of Section 43, Block AK, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas., from an ''R-1" Zoning District
to a "Specific Use., Mobile Home Park''.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
1. 1\bat a screening fence of construction comparable to the existing
screening fence on Lot 1 be erected and permanently maintained along
the East side of Lot 7.

SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance, said lotsf tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereo
hall be changed to the zoning di strict indicated and the Official Map is
amended in accordance herewith.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phras
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica
tion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided
by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
