WHEREAS, the City Council finds that those portions of the storm water storage and drainage easement as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for public use and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT those portions of the storm water storage and drainage easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, be- ing more particularly described as follows: Those portions of the storm water storage and drainage easement located in Section 15, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas and recorded in Volume 1556, Page 647 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears S. 00°01'30" W. a distance of 653.00 feet and East a distance of 55.00 feet from the Northwest corner of Section 15, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE N. 76° a distance of 155.00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 863.00 feet; THENCE N. 70°30' E. a distance of 275.00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 25.82 feet; THENCE S. 00°12'34 11 w. a distance of 78.22 feet; THENCE S. 73°52'52 11 w. a distance of 6.26 feet; THENCE S. 89°22'19" w. a distance of 107.66 feet; THENCE S. 78°56'17 11 w. a distance of 201.90 feet; THENCE S. 82°07'2111 w. a distance of 197.96 feet; ~ • __ 't,. • . ; THENCE N. 89°11'24" W. a distance of 388.69 feet; THENCE N. 86°35'07 11 W. a distance of 202.58 feet; TVOL 3203 PACE 12t THENCE N. 89°57'2511 W. a distance of 199.38 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to indicate said abandoning and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an al- ternative method provided by law.
