WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street portions hereinafter described are no longer needed for street purposes and for public use; and !I WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be in the public interest to I close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: ,, li BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION I. THAi the street portions as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes and for public use; being more particularly described as follows: A portion of 74th Street located in Section 10, Block E-2, lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod with cap found at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Block E-2, lubbock County, Texas; THENCE S. oo•o2'46" W. a distance of 30.00 feet; THENCE N. 89°56'44" W. a distance of 32.42 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 117.00'30", tangent lengths of 24.48 feet and a chord distance of 25.58 feet; THENCE N. 26°57'14" W. a distance of 58.15 feet to a found 1/2" iron rod; THENCE S. 89°56'44" E. a distance of 72.19 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to indicate said abandoning and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. • rvoL3322 PACE 324 SECTION 4.
