AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A POWER LINE EASE:M
IN THE SOUTH TWO (2} FEET OF LOT 633, MELONIE PARK ADDITiON T
CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULAl
DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND DIRECT! NG THE CI'l
ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK 'I
INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF SUCH POWER LINE EJ
MENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the power line easement in the S
two feet of Lot 633, Melonie Park Addition in Lubbock County, Texas, as he:
after more particularly described is no longer nee ded for easement purposes
for public use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to c
vacate and abandon same for easement purposes and for public use; NOW TH
FORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the power line easement as hereinafter described,
and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purpose:
for public use:
The South two (2) feet ot Lot 633, Melonie Park Addition,
to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directe·
mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the easement as
cribed in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
