AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CL~ING A DRAINAGE EASE ..
MENT OUT OF LOT lA. HANCOCK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THlS ORDINANCE AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK
THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSIN
AND ABANDONMENT OF SUCH DRAINAGE EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the drainage easement out of
Lot lA. Hancock Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as
hereinafter more particularly described is nd.longer needed for easement pur~
poses or for public use; and,
WHEREAS. the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to
close# vacate and abandon same for easement purposes and for public use;
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the drainage easement as hereinafter described

poses and for public use;
BEGINNING at a 3/811 iron rod set for the Northwest
corner of said Lot lA, Hancock Addition to the City
of Lubbock, and for the Northeast and beginning cor.,
ner of this tract;
THENCE South 17° sor West, along the East line of
Lot lA. Hancock Addition, 344.79 feet to a point, a
corner ef this tract;
THENCE South 13° lP West, 628. 5 feet to a point in
the South line of Lot JA, Hancock Addition, for a cor~

SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the easement
as de~ribed in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned.
