(17.)
This Ordinance abandons and closes a .289 acre portion
of 52nd Street just east of Slide Road. Closure of
this 56' X 220' section was requested by John Abney for
commercial development platting purposes. The City
Council recently approved rezoning of this area in
conjunction with the Slide Road Development Plan, and
this closure fits into that Plan.
As of October 1, 1990, the preliminary plat had not
been submitted, but Mr. Abney indicated that it is
forthcoming, and that he will dedicate the street
portion being closed as an Underground Utility Easement
and a cul-de-sac at the west end of 52nd Street.
Staff recommended this closure for first reading;
however, before its passage on second reading, they
recommended resolution of all problems and questions.
