HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 9555-1992 - Closing A Transformer Pad Easement Lakeridge Country Club - 10/24/1992HW:js 32657 Rfe And R•turn To Ed ·Bucy R·O-W First Reading September 24, 1992 Item 118 Second Reading October:6, 1992 Item fl7 VOL 4002PACE25Q ORDINANCE NO. 9555 AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A TRANSFORMER PAD EASEMENT LOCATED IN LAKERIDGE COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDI- NANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PRO- VIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the transformer pad easement as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for public use, and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the transformer pad easement as hereinafter described shall BE. and the same 1s hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for the public use, said easement being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 786, lakeridge Country Club Estates Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North along the West property 1 ine, a distance of 4.00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 6.00 feet; THENCE South a distance of 4.00 feet; THENCE West a 1 ong the South property 1 i ne, a distance of 6. 00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. VOL 4002PACE251 SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law.
