First Reading April 9, 1992 Item 117 Second Reading April 23, 1992 Item #8 HW:js lile And Return To Ed ·Bucy R-O-W . ~ ORDINANCE NO. k~ AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A TRANSFORMER PAD EASEMENTi'IN RUSHLAND PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED·HEREINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE ITV ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDqNMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. : WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the transformer pad easemJnt as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for public use, and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and bandon the same; NOW THEREFORE: i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: 1 SECTION 1. THAT the transformer pad easement as hereinafter d scribed shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for the public use, and being more particularly described as follows: l BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 6-A, Block 29, Rushla.d Park: Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; i THENCE West a distance of 6.00 feet; THENCE South a distance of 4.00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 6.00 feet; THENCE North a distance of 4.00 feet back to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of.the.City of Lubbock to reflect said abando~ment and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its firal passage. I SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phra~e, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid fot any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereb~. ,/ .,, VOlJ853 PA[;i 246 SECTION 4.
