NEEDLES ADDITION AND LOT 1 OF THE PLAINS COOPERATIVE OIL MILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUB- BOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS. AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRI- BED HEREIN; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIA MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND AB DONMENT OF THE STREET AS AFORESAID. WHEREAS. the City Council finds that Elm Avenue adjacent to Lots 1 through 7,, Needles Addition and Lot 1 of the Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition as hereinafter more particularly described is no longer needed for street purposes or for public use; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and to public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Elm Avenue adjacent to Lots 1 through 7, Needl s Additiomnd Lot 1 of the Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition. as hereinafter more particularly described by metes and bounds, shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes. BEGINNING at a point 12. 5 feet West of the Northwest corner of Lot 8, Needles Addition to the City of Lubbock~ Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West a distance of 50 feet to a point in the East boundary line of Lot 1, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition; THENCE North a distance of 283. 30 feet, along the East boundary line of Lot 1, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Addition to a point in the South Right-of-Way line of the Fort Worth & Denver Railway Co. Right-of-Way; THENCE Southeasterly along the Fort Worth & Denver Railway Co. Right-of-Way line, a distance of 52. 78 feet; ,· ✓ ~ -.. u <. THENCE South., parallel to and 50 feet distance from the East line of Lot 1, Plains Cooperative Oil Mill Additiop_, a distance of 266. 42 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portions of the streets as described in Section 1 hereof have been closed and abandoned, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
