WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street portion hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for street pur- poses and for public use; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the street portion as hereinafter described shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes and for public use, and being more particularly described as follows: METES AND BOUND DESCRIPTION of a portion of Boston Boulevard to be closed and located in Section 13, Block E-2, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears S. 89°58'0811 W. a distance of 1193.07 feet and S. 00°01'52" E. a distance of 58.18 feet from the Northeast corner of Section 13, Block E-2, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 89°44'1511 , tangent lengths of 14.93 feet and a chord distance of 21.16 feet to a point of tangency; THENCE S. 00°01 '52" E. a distance of 566.82 feet to a point of curva- ture; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 90°, tangent lengths of 15.00 feet and a chord distance of 21.21 feet; THENCE s. 89°58 1 0811 w. a distance of 10.00 feet; THENCE Northeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 90°, tangent lengths of 15.00 feet and a chord distance of 21.21 feet to a point of tangency; VOL 4401rAG£ 84 THENCE N. 00•01 1 52" W. a distance of 566.50 feet to a point of curva- ture; THENCE Northwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 90°15 1 45 11 , tangent lengths of 15.07 feet and a chord distance of 21.26; THENCE N. 89°42'23" E. a distance of 70.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGIN- NING. SECTION 2. mark the official closing, showing passage. THAT the City Engineer 1s hereby authorized and directed to maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any rea- son, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law.
