HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 6089-1971 - Amending Zoning Ord. 1695, New Sec 2. 79B-1, Sec 14-A 1-20, Moble Home Subdiviso - 05/13/1971-Y u -ordinance 6089 Amended by Ordi 6390 ORDINANCE NO. 6089 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 2. 79b-1 DE- FINING MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION; AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 14-A. 11 -20 GOVERNING MOBILE HOME SUBDIVJSION,. SPECIFIC USE PERMITS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and after all notices have been given and public hearing conducted, as provided by law, it has been determined tha it would be in the best interest of the citizens of Lubbock to amend Ordinance No. 1695 (Zoning Ordinance) as hereinafter set forth; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT a new Section 2. 79b-1 BE and is hereby added to Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock, Texas, which shall read as follows: 2. 79b•l Mobile home subdivision. A tract of land,. ten {1 0) acres or more,. which has been final platted of· record in its entirity in accor- dance with the City of Lubbock Subdivision Regulations and in accordance with Section 14-A. 1-20 of the Zoning Ordinance. '( SECTION 2. THAT a new Section 14-A.1-20 BE and is hereby added to Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock, Texas, which shall read as follows: 14-A. 1 ... 20 Mobile Home Subdivision in any zoning district on a site of ten (10) acres or more, provided such tract shall have been final platted of record in its entirity in accord- ance with the City of Lubbock Subdivision Reg- ulations and shall meet the fo11owing conditions: a. Lot Width. The minimum average width of any lot shall be forty ( 40) feet. b. Lot Area. The minimum lot area shall be five thousand (5, 000) square feet. 0 c. Front Yard. The minimum front yard shall be fifteen (15) feet. d. Rear Yard. The minimum rear yard shall be ten (10) feet measured from the rear property line to the rear of the structure. e. Side Yards. There shall be a minimum side yard of ten (1P) feet on each side. f. Density. One mobile home shall be permitted on each platted lot. g. Lot Coverage. Maximum lot coverage shall be forty (40) per cent. h. Off .. Street Parking. One (1) off-street parking space shall be provided on each lot. i. Tie-downs and Hard Stands. Tie-Downs and hard stands shall be provided for each mobile home as established by the Building Code prior to issuance of any building permits. j. Storage. The area under the mobile home shall not be used for storage of any kind. Said area shall be completely enclosed with the same materials as used for exterior siding on the mobile home. k. Accessory Buildings. All accessory build-- ings and/or structures shall conform to the Building Code of the City of Lubbock and Section 16 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lubbock. 1. Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks. Curbs, gutters and sidewalks shall conform to Chapter 28 of the Building Code. m. All utilities shall be bcated underground and shall comply with City of Lubbock Code of Ordi ... nances. n. The plat title shall indicate that the sub- division is a "Mobile Home Subdivision"• and that the primary structure shall be a mobile home. o. All mobile homes placed within~the "Mobile Home Subdivision" shall comply with all the standards established by the Mobile Home Code of the City of Lubbock. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason1 the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
