HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 6082-1971 - $8,400 Airport Capital Projects Fund - 09/22/1971FORM L-2 ORDINANCE NO •·--¥:601£,18"'2.__ __ AN APPROPRIAT~ON ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds it is neces- sary to appropriate certain specific funds out of bond funds for an approve~ project; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: There is hereby appropriated out of the following described bond fund, to-wit: Airport Capital Projects Fund The sum $8,400.00 For the following purpose: Purchase of 8.0 acres Legal and closing costs Appraisal costs TOTAL (Charge to account no. 5042-551) 8,000.00 200.00 200.00 $8,400.00 LEGAL DESCRIPTION: An 8 acre tract of land out of the NE/4 of Section 10, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, beginning at a point in the south line of the said quarter section, 528' east of the SW corner. Thence N. 1320', E. 264', S. 1320', W. 264' to the place of beginning. AND IT IS SO Passed by the Council on first Apr il Passed by May ' 19 71 the Council on second ' 1971 ~ ~ ' ORDERED reading this 22nd day of s lJthday of MAYOR ORDINANCE NO. 6083 ____ .....,. ___ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ATED MAY 13, 1954 PROVIDING FOR WORKlV[EN1S COMPENSATION INSURANC ESTABLISHING A SELF .. INSURED WORKMENtS COMPENSATION PROGRAM FOR CITY OF LUBBOCK OFFICERS, OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR RULES OF ADMINISTERING SUCH PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE TO THE INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT BOARD OF TEXAS AND TO THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the employees of the City of Lubbock would benefit by a better program of benefits available to those injured or disabled in accidents while engaged in duties for the City; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK!' SECTION 1. THAT the resolution of the City Council of the City of Lubbock dated May 13, 1954 providing for Workmen's Compensation Insurance BE and is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. THAT a program of Seli-lraurance covering all City of Lubbock Officials, Officers and Employees, BE and is hereby established. SECTION 3. THAT Rules for t·.-Administering such Self ... In.surance Program shall be established by the City Manager, in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, with such Rules setting forth the procedures to be followed in submitting accident claims,, the processing of such claims and amount of benefits recoverable nder such Program. · SECTION 4. Notice of the determination of the City Council to adopt this Self-Ino_urance Program shall be given by the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to the Industrial Accident Board of Texas and to all employees of the City of Lubbock, SECTION 6. Should any section, paragraph, sentence~ clause, phrase, or ord of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 7. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica- ion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided y law. KJ·EW ..
