AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 16 95 AND THE OFFI~IAL
MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE;
ZONE CASE NO. 1725: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 3, BLOC
E, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS.,, FROM AN 11R .. 2 11 AND 11A-l'

WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
hich was received by the City Council and, aft er due consideration., the City
Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the
ublic interest; and,
WHEREASJI all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning ~dinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
otices in compliance" with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro
ided by Article 1011£, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and

een (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on sue
roposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held
·n the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing,
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in
he manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance
aving been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1725
Change a tract of land out of the southeast one ... quarter (SE¼) of Section 3,
Block E.., City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-2° and
"A ... 1" to an 11A-211 Zoning District. Property is further described by
metes and bounds to-wit:
BEGINNING AT A POINT which is 1385 feet west and 199.43 feet north of
the southeast corner of said SE¼ of Section 3, Block E for the southeast
and beginning corner of this tract, said point also being the northeast
corner of Lot 1, Block 25, Vandelia Village;
THENCE 78 °24i W 180. 98 feet along the north line of said Lot 1, Block 25
Vandelia Villafe to a point for the southwest corner of this tract. said
point also being the northwest corner of said Lot 1, Block 25, Vandelia
Village;
THENCE N 4°15'2911 E 124. 75 feet along a line to a poin~ for the northwest
corner of this tract, said point also being the southwest corner of Loy 7,
Block 16, Vandelia Village;
THENCE 78°24' E 171.52 feet along the south line of said Lot 7, Block 16,
Vandelia Village, to a point for the northeast corner of this tract, said
point also being the southeast corner of said Lot 7, Block 16, Vandelia
Village;
THEJ:CE South 122. 50 feet along a line to the POINT OF BEGINNJNG.
UBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
That a 40 foot building setback line be observed from the North property
line.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ,
aid lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section J, hereof shall be changed
o the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
erewith.
SECTION 3. THAT any person, firm or corporation owning or operating the
ubject property failing to comply with the conditions imposed by Section 1 hereof
hall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a
ine not to exceed TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS and each and every dayts violation
hereof shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
The failure of any corporation owning or operating the subject property to com
ly with any of the conditions imposed by Section 1 hereof shall render the Preside ,
ice .. President, General Manager, Local Manager and Local Agent liable to the
enalty prescribed in this section.
SECTION 4. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or
ord of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
emainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 5. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica ...
