WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to provide an additional early voting location for the May 1, 1993, City Bond Election; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Paragraph 6 of Section 3 of City of Lubbock Ordinance No. 9583 is amended by adding thereto another sentence, which shall read as follows: Further, early voting shall be conducted at the University Center on the campus of Texas Tech University during the same days and hours that early voting is conducted at the office of the County Clerk. SECTION 2. THAT a substantial copy of this Ordinance shall service as proper notice of this change to early voting locations and said notice, including a Spanish translation thereof, shall be posted at three (3) public places within the City and at the City Hall not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date on which said election is to be held, and be published on the same day in each of two (2) successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, the first of said publications to appear in said newspaper not more than thirty (30) days and not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the day of the election.
