ORDINANCE NO. 9606
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9583 WITH REGARD TO EARLY VOTING
PLACES AND DAYS AND HOURS OF EARLY VOTING FOR THE CITY OF LUBBOCK BOND ELEC-
TION TO BE HELD MAY 1, 1993.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Lubbock to provide an additional early voting location
for the May 1, 1993, City Bond Election; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Paragraph 6 of Section 3 of City of Lubbock Ordinance
No. 9583 is amended by adding thereto another sentence, which shall read as
follows:
Further, early voting shall be conducted at the University
Center on the campus of Texas Tech University during the same days
and hours that early voting is conducted at the office of the
County Clerk.
SECTION 2. THAT a substantial copy of this Ordinance shall service as
proper notice of this change to early voting locations and said notice,
including a Spanish translation thereof, shall be posted at three (3) public
places within the City and at the City Hall not less than fourteen (14) full
days prior to the date on which said election is to be held, and be published
on the same day in each of two (2) successive weeks in a newspaper of general
circulation in said City, the first of said publications to appear in said
newspaper not more than thirty (30) days and not less than fourteen (14) full
days prior to the day of the election.

TO THE RESIDENT QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
TAKE NOTICE that an election will be held in the City of
Lubbock, Texas, on the first day of May, 1993, in accordance with
Ordinance No. 9583 adopted by the City Council and in accordance
with Ordinance No. 9606 , which is part of this Notice for all
purposes and reads as follows:

Lubbock, Texas, with knowledge of the act, event, condition, opinion, or
diagnosis, recorded to make the record or to transmit information thereof
to be included in such record; and the record was made at or near the time
or reasonably soon thereafter. The records attached hereto are the original

4. Affidavit of Posting of Supplemental Notice of Bond Election. Ordinance
No. 9606 directs that the Supplemental Notice be posted. Enclosed are
four copies of an Affidavit of Posting relating to the Supplemental Notice
of Bond Election. Please complete each copy of the Affidavit, execute the
Affidavit and have your signature notarized. The completed, executed,
and notarized Affidavits should be returned to me.
5. Affidavit of Publication of Supplemental Notice of Bond Election.
Ordinance No. 9606 directs that the Supplemental Notice be published.
Enclosed are four copies of an Affidavit of Publication relating to the
Supplemental Notice of Bond Election. Please complete each copy of the
Affidavit, have an authorized signatory of the newspaper that published
the Supplemental Notice execute the Affidavit, and have the execution of
the Affidavit notarized. The completed, executed, and notarized Affidavits
should be returned to me.
6. Section 2 of the Resolution Canvassing the Returns and Declaring the
Results of the Bond Election held May 1, 1993, incorrectly states that
Proposition 6 passed. Enclosed are five copies of the page to that
resolution containing the incorrect statement. Please have the mayor
execute each copy, execute each copy yourself, and impress the seal of the
City on each copy. One copy of the corrected page is for your records.
The remaining four copies should be returned to me.

preamble hereof, and a majority of the resident qualified electors
voting at said election having voted in favor of propositions
