AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 20 FOOT UNDERGROUND
UfiLITY AND GARBAGE SERVICE EASEMENT LOCATED IN TRACTS BAND C,
KING'S PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO
REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAViNGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. ., . . . .
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the underground utility and· garb~ge sehice ··
easement as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed. for public use
and it would be in the public interest to close. vacate and abandon the s8me; NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF LUBBOCK: . ...
SECTION 1. 1HA T the underground utility and garbage service easement as hereinifter
described shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes
and for public use, such easement being more particularly descdbed as follows:
1\tfETES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for a 20 foot underground utility and
garbage service easement located in Tracts B and C, King's Park Addition to the
City ofLubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a lh" rod with cap at the Southwest comer of Tract B and the
Northwest comer of Tract C, King's Park Addition to the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE N. 00°02'46" E. a distance oflO.OO feet;
TIIENCE S. 89°58'5011 E. a distance of277.46 feet;
TIIENCE N. 60°53'16" E. a distance of 17.47 feet;
THENCE S. 31°45'21" W. a distance of33.52 feet;
THENCE N. 89°58'50" W. a distance of298.62 feet;
TIIENCE N. 00°02'46" E. a distance of 10.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGIN-
NING.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the number
of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.

SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of
this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordi-
nance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method
provided by law.
