WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street portions hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for street purposes and for public use; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the street portions as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for purposes and for public use, being more particularly described as follows: TRACT ONE METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a portion of 94th Street to be closed and abandoned, located in Seciton 9, Block E, Lubbock, County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a Yl" rod set with cap in the North right-of-way line of 94th Street which is the original Southeast comer of Lot 72, Bicentennial Estates Addition to the City ofLubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East, along the North right-of-way line of 94th Street, a distance of75.00 feet to a point; THENCE South a distance of 4.50 feet to a Yl" rod set with cap; THENCE West a distance of20.00 feet to a Yl" rod set with cap; - 1 - c c:> r- ~ .;:a 0 1-l ~ a ..... .... c.-; c • JO vot 4481tAcr131 THENCE N. 85° 19' 21" W. a distance of55.18 feet to the Point of Beginning. CONTAINS: 213.75 square feet TRACT TWO METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a portion of 94th Street to be closed and abandoned, located in Section 9, Block E, Lubbock county, Texas, being further descn'bed as follows: BEGINNING at a 3/8" rod found in the South right-of-way line of 94th Street which bears East 151.00 feet from the original Northwest comer of Lot 73, Bicentennial Estates Addition to the City ofLubbock, Lubbock, County, Texas; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of90°, tangent lengths of 15.00 feet, and a chord distance of21.21 feet to a Yz" rod with cap set in the East right-of-way line of Avenue "X"; THENCE Northwesterly around a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 19.50 feet, a central angle of76° 39' 01 ",tangent lengths of 15.41 feet and a chord distance of24.18 feet to a point; THENCE South a distance of3.97 feet to the Point ofBeginning. CONTAINS: 34.97 square feet. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance ·shall not be affected thereby. -2- • • v~ 4481t.tcr132 SECTION 4.
