AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIFIC USE PERMI
TO ... WIT: MOBILE HOME PARK IN ZONE CASE NO. 1437A: CHAN"GE A TRACT
OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 22, BLOCK A, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS; PRO-
VIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, after receiving the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning
Commission and after due notice and public hearing and all matters having been
done and performed as required by Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of
he City of Lubbock, (said Ordinance being an Appendix to the Lubbock City Code)
relating to Specific Use Permits, the City Council finds that due to changed condi ...
ions, it would be expedient and in the interest of the public health, morals, and
general welfare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit as hereinafter
set forth; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is authori
zed to issue a Specific Use Permit to the Applicant in Zone Case No. 143 7A in
accordance with the recommendations and conditions imposed by the Planning and
oning Commission, on file with the office of the Director of Planning, and the Ci

oses, provided said Applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of the Specific Use
ermit, the granting of which is hereby made subject to compliance to all provisio
f Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, an Ordinance of the City of Lubbock, including parti
cularly but not limited to, Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 within twenty
our {24) months of the effective date of this Ordinance, the City Secretary-Treas-
rer shall be and is hereby authorized and instructed, upon written notice from the
irector of Planning that Applicant has not complied with the provisions, conditions
nd terms imposed by this Ordinance, to note Applicant's failure to comply on the
argin of the Minutes of the City Council opposite entry of this Ordinance, and the
uthorization to issue such Specific Use Permit is hereby revoked; and the Directo
f Planning in such event is directed to remove from the Zoning Map the legend
· dicating such limited use. The Specific Use authorized by this Ordinance is for
Mobile Home Park under the provisions of Section 14-A.1-19 of the Zoning Ordi-
ance on a tract of land out of Section 22, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, and
urther described by metes and bounds to-wit:
BEGINNING at a 1" iron pipe that bears East 2307. 7 feet and North 60
feet of the Southwest corner of Section 22 for the Southwest corner of
this survey;
THENCE North 3184. 7 feet to the South right-of-way line of Highway 289
for the Northwest corner of this survey;

THENCE North 53 °02 1 East 1386. 6 feet, along South right-of~way line of
Highway 289, to a point in the West line of Texas Tech Tract, for the
Northeast corner of this survey;
THENCE South 3473. 2 feet to a point in the West line of Texas Tech Trac >
a corner of this survey;
THENCE West 800 feet, the Northwest corner of a ten (10) acre tract, a
corner of this survey;
THENCE South 545 feet to North right-of-way line of 4th Street, a corner
of this survey;
THENCE West 208.1 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
This Specific Use Permit shall apply to only that portion of the above
tract which is presently zoned "C-2 ". The remainder of such tract is
hereby excepted, having been re-zoned by Ordinance No. 5682.
SECTION 2. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica
tion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided
by law.
