OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; l PROVIDIN. A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. i II I WH REAS, the City Council finds that the alley and easement as hereinafter described in the body of · s Ordinance are no longer needed for alley and easement purposes and for public use; and ! REAS, the City Council finds it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and I abandon the !same for alley and easement purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: i BE IT ORD~D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: j1 SEC, ON 1. THAT the alley and easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the 1 same are he eby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley and easement purposes and for public j use, such all y and easement being more particularly described as follows: II I ' I I ll r TRACT ONE A 20 foot alley located in James Subdivision to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock Cou:rity, Texas, according to the map, plat, and/or dedication deed thereof recorded in Volume I 008, Page 206 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texa', being further described as follows: G at a point for the Southwest comer of this alley, which bears North, a dis ce of 127.50 feet from a 1" iron pipe found at the Southwest comer of Lot 17 A, James Subdivision; THE CE North, along the East right-of-way line of Ivory A venue, a distance of 20.0 . feet to a point for the Northwest comer of this alley; T CE East, a distance of 150.00 feet to a point in the West line of Lot 18, Jame Subdivision, for the Northeast comer of this alley; CE South, along the West line of Lot 18, James Subdivision, a distance of feet to a point for the Southeast comer of this alley; CE West, a distance of 150.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. I TRA!:IONE A 1 O! foot utility easement located in James Subdivision to the City of Lubbock, Lub k County, Texas, according to the map, plat, and/or dedication deed there f recorded in Volume 1008, Page 206 of the Deed Records of Lubbock Co ty, Texas, being further described as follows: G at a point for the Southeast comer of this easement, which bears a distance of 147.50 feet and East, a distance of 150.00 feet from a 1" iron und at the Southwest comer of Lot 17 A, James Subdivision; CE West, a distance of 10.00 feet to a point for the Southwest comer of this ent; T CE North, a distance of 67.50 feet to a point for the Northwest comer of this e ement; THE CE East, a distance of 10.00 feet to a point for the Northeast comer of this ease ent; THE CE South, a distance of 67.50 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SEC ON 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the number of · s Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SEC ON 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ord' ce be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance s all not be affected thereby. SEC ON 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to c use publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law.
