AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFI
IAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
RANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1501 A: CHANGE LOTS 363 THROUGH 377, BENHAL

'C-2A" TO A 11c .. 3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION; PROVIDING
SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
hich was received by the City Council and, after due consideration, the City
ouncil finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the
ublic interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro ..
ided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and
otice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fif-
een (15) days prior to the date of the public hearlhg before the City Council on sue
reposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held
the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the propos'al; and, after said hearing, it
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th
anner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
een introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are l:ereby amended.as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1501 A
Change Lots 363 through Lot 3 77, Benhall Manor Addition, City of Lubboc
Lubbock County, Texas, from a '1C-2A11 to a 11C-3" Zoning District.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
A six foot (6 1) high permanent type solid screening fence of masonry or

tear.. NQirtlt'.lottline. Said fence to be constructed prior to or concurrentl
with the first building permit.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinan
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
herewith.
SECTION 3. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of
his Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remain-
der of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica-
ion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided
y law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
