AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 5658 OF THE CIT
OF LUBBOCK COVERING ZONE CASE NO. 1602A WHICH COVERED LOTS 1
THRU 6, BLOCK 10, SOUTHPORT ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK., LUBBOCK
COUNTY., TEXAS., BY REPEALING THE CONDITIONS MADE A PART THEREOF;
IMPOSING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW CONDITION; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after all notices have been given
and hearings held as provided by law, that it is in the best interest of the citizens
of the City of Lubbock to make the change in the zoning law as hereinafter set
forth; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the conditions made a part of zoning Ordinance No.
5658 of the City of Lubbock, BE and are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. THAT Zoning Ordinance No. 5658 of the City of Lubbock, BE
and is hereby amended by adding a condition in lieu of the conditions repealed in
Section 1 hereinabove, which shall read as follows:
1'CONDITION11
"A 6 foot high per'man--ent ty,pe:solid n\asonry screening wall shall be
constructed and permanently mainta~ed along the East property line of
Lot 61 Block 10, Southport Addition. Said fence shall be slanted or
stepped down in accordance with Section 15. 1-2-2 of the Zoning Ordinance'
SECTION 3. Should any section, paragraph, sentence clause, phrase or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause pub-
lication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method pro-
vided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
