AN ORDJNANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE No;· 1429: CHANGE A TRACT OF
LAND OUT OF SECTION 4., BLOCK E, LUBBOCK COUNTY., TEXAS,
FROM AN 11R-111 TO Ar-.r ~R--21J_:A,ND '~c-21'. ZO'N'mTG DrSTRICT.
WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter
made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for
its recommendation., which was received by the City Council and after
due consideration, the City Council finds that ma king the proposed
change as hereinaft~r set.out will be in the public interest; and.,
WHEREAS., all conditions preaident required by law for a valid
amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied
with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance
No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article !Ol!lf., Vernonts Annotated
Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the
Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to
the date of the public hear..ing before the City Council on such proposed
amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly
held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall.,
Lubboc~ Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal;
and, after said heai'.J.ng., it was by the City Council determined that it
would be in the public interest., due to changed conditions, that the
Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this'Ordin!:Lnce having been
introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW TH~REFORE:
BE IT ORDAlliED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map
BE}AND the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:

1. That a 3 to 1 parking ratio be maintained.
2. That a 'Blanket" garbage collection easement be provided.

permanently maintained along the North and West property
lines,. said fence to prohibit any alley ai.e:c:es~. Said fence to
be constructed prior to or concurrently with the first unit to
any building constructed on the property.
4. No fl.ashing signs shall be allowed.
5. All lights shall be hooded so as to prevent glare into adjacent
residentially zoned property.
SECTION 2. THA. T from and after passage and effective dareof this
Ordinance said lots,. tracts and parcels of lano described in Section 1
hereof shall be changed to the zoning district and the Official Map is
amended in accordance herewith.
