ORDINANCE NO. 5809
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLCSING A PORTION OF THE ALL
IN BLOCK 23 McCRUMMENS SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.,
LUBBOCK COUNTY., TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF sue
ALLEY AS STATED.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a portion of the alley in Block 23,
McCrummens Second Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas as
hereinafter more particularly described, is no longer needed for alley purposes
or for public use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to
close, vacate and abandon the same for alley purposes and to public use;
NOW THEREFORE,.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTIONl. THAT the portion of the alley in Block 23, McCrummens
Second Addition to the City of Lubbock as hereinafter described shall be and the
same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley purposes, to~it:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 26
Block 23,. McCrummens Second Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West a distance of 157. 77 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 20. 00 feet;
THENCE East a distance of 157. 77 feet to a
point, said point being the Southeast corner
of Lot 1, Block 23, 1'4-cCrummens Second Addition;
THENCE South a distance of 20. 00 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT this closing is expressly made subject to any and all
easements or reservations shown on the plat of said Addition.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to mark the Official Map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portion of the
alley as described in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned, showing
the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
