AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFI-
CIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
HANGE: ZONE CASE NO.. 1420: CHANGE LOTS 9 AND 10~ BLOCK 65., OVERTO
DITION~ CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS,. FROM AN "R-211
0 AN "R-3tt ZONING DISTRICT;SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS:
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has be
duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation, whi h
was received by the City Council and after due consideration~ the City Council finds
that making the pDoposed change as re reinafter set out will be in the public interest
and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with~ as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
vided by Article 1011f., Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961., and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly
held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas;
at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing
it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the-public interest, due to
changed conditions., that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th
manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW~ THEREFORE~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows., to-wit:

Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-211 to an 11R-311 Zoning District,
SUBJ~CT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That development be limited to apart.ments only.
2. That a minimum oflOOO square feet of lot area be provided for each
apartment unit.
3. That 1 1/2 paved off-street parking spaces be provided for each one
bedroom apartment unit and that two such parking spaces be provided
for each unit with two or more bedrooms.
4. Developer shall~ at no cost to the city,, provide lateral· sewer
connections to the nearest trunk line which is determined by
the City Engineer to have adequate capacity to serve the existing
and projected future users.
SECT ION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordi nance1 said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1
hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official
Map is amended in accordance herewith.
