HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 5037-1966 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695, Zone Case No. 1032-A - 06/23/19665037 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE 1695 OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKAS FOLLOWS: ZONE CASE N04 1032-A; CHANGE CONDITIONS IM- POSED BY ORDINANCE 3938 ON LOTS 85 THROUGH 88, RANCHLAND TERRACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK• LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Counc · finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and1 WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendmen to the Zoning Ordinance have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011f, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) day prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Cit Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 BE and the same is hereby amend ed as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1032-A Those conditions expressly set out by Ordinance 39 38 which affect Lots 85 through 88, Ranchland Terrace Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas BE and the same are Hereby amended to read as follows: 1. That the development be limited to apartments only. 2. That a minimum of 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment unit. 3. That 1 1/2 paved off-street parking spaces be provided for each apartment unit. 4. That a 6' so.lid permanent type screening fence be erected along the so h property line. Said fence to be sloped from a point 25t from Chicago Avenue to a height of 2 l/2t at said &treet property line. --- SECTION 2. Nothing herein shall be construed to remove any restriction posed by Zoning Ordinance 169 5 nor shall this ordinance change the property erein from an "R-2tt Zoning District.
