AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE. NO. 1695 AND 'TI;IE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKSO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO,. 1403: CHANGE LOTS 1 AND 2a BLOCK 53~
OVERTON ADDITION~ CITY OF LUBBOC:Ka, LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXASa FRO
AN "R.,.211 TO AN "R.,.311 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom ...
mendation, which was received by the City Council and after due consideration1
the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
w:il9 be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend ...
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as
notices provided by Article 1011f~ Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutesk amended in
1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal
more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Council on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said
notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall
Lubboc~ Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and,
after said hearing, changed conditions~ that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning
M9-p be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance
and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first
reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows~ to.,.wit:
ZONE CASE NO,: 1403
Change Lots 1 and 2,. Block 53,~ Overton Addition, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R'"'2" to an "R,..3" Zoning
District.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. Development of the property shall be limited to apartments.
2. A minimum of 1000 square feet of lot area shall be provided
for each apartment unit.
3. A minimum of one and one ... half paved off ... street parking spaces
shall be provided for each one bedroom unit and two such spaces
shall be provided for each apartment unit with two or more bedrooms

SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be cha nged to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herew ith,. •
