AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4560_. THE FIRE ZONE
MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. FffiE ZONING ORDINANCE NO.,l l447 AND
SECTION 1601, PART IV.• CHAPTER 16 OF THE LUBBOCK CITY CODE SO AS
TO CHANGE LOTS 501 THROUGH 510_. ALFORD TERRACE ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LUBBOC~ FROM FIRE ZONE NO. 2 TO FIRE ZONE NO.· 3, WHICH
PROPERTY WAS ERRONEOUSLY CHANGED TO FIRE ZONE NO. 2 BY ORDINANCE
NO. 4560; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS;? the City Council. finds that due to an error, the hereinafter
described property was changed from Fire Zone No. 3 to Fire Zone No. 2; and,
WHEREAS~ the necessity for changing this property back to Fire Zone
No. 3 to protect the lives, safety, and property of the citizens of the City of
Lubbock creates an emergency; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the following described property which was erron ...
eously changed from Fire Zone No. 3 to Fire Zone No. 2 by Ordinance No. 4560,.

Lots 501 through 510, Alford Terrace Addition
BE AND THE SAME lS HEREBY changed and placed in Fire Zone No. 3 and the
"Fire Zone Map of the City of Lubbock" duplicate original located in the Building
Inspectorts Office shall be amended in accordance herewith by the Building In ..
spector or at his direction, and this change shall constitute an amendment to Fire
Zoning Ordinance No. 1447 and Section 1601, Part IV, Chapter 16 of the Lubbock
City Code, relative to fire zones.
SECTION 2. Nothing herein shall be construed to affect Lot 511, Alford
Terrace Addition which was properly changed to Fire Zone No. 2 by Ordinance
No. 4560.
SECTION 3. The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two separate
council meetings is hereby suspended,. and this Ordinance is declared to be an
emergency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, to take
effect immediately upon its passage.
