D. 6.3 ORDINANCE N0. ___ 48_7_1 __ _ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO PLACE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN FIRE ZONE NO. 2, WHICH PROPERTY IS DESCRIBED IN A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR A COMMERCIAL USE IN ZONE CASE NO. 1369 ; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDnJANCE. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in the granting of all Specific Use Permits for Commercial uses pursuant to Section 14A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock, that property covered by such Permit should be placed in Fire Zone No. 2 to protect the lives, safety,and property ot the citizens of the City of Lubbock, which creates an emergency; NCM THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the following described property which is property de- scribed in Zone Case No. 1269 tor which a Specific Use Permit for a com- mercial use ia authorized b,y Ordinance No. , to wit: Lot.a 1 thru 7' Lot a 21. thru .24, E. 251 (!)f Lot 2.0' aDd the 'E. 'J7. s I or Lot 8' all or Block: 5, Xl.l.woed Place Addition, Cit7 ot Lubbook, Lllbbcck CoUDt7, Tu:;u. BE AND THE SAME IS hereby changed and/or placed in Fire Zone No. 2 and the 11FIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK" duplicate original located in the Building Inspector's Office shall be amended in accordance herewith by the Building Inspector or at his direction, and this change shall constitute an amendment to Fire Zoning Ordinance No. lLt? and Section 1601, Part IV, Chapter 16 ot the Lubbock City Code, relative to fire zones. SECTION 2. The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two readings before final passage is hereby suspended, and this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure tor the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, to take effect immediately after its passage.
