AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1337: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO
3, BLOCK 0,. LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS, FROM AN 11R ... 2" TO A 11C-4n ZONING
DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation
which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Counc ·
finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving noti
in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 169-5 as well as notices provided by
Article 1011f, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and notice was
duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) day
prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed arne
ment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Coun
Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons
appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Cou il
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that th
Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended :i1 the manner hereinafter set fort
in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final writ n
form prior to first reading thereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1337
Chan.ge a tract of land out of Section 3, Block 0, Lubbock County_.
Texas, from an "R ... 211 to a "C-411 Zoning District. Property is
further described by metes and bounds to-wit:
BEGINNING at a 1 I 211 iron pipe set 56. 0 feet West of a point, said
point being the Southeast corner of the Section 3., Block 0~ Lubbock
County, Texas_. for the beginning corner of this tract;
THENCE West 361.8 feet to a 1/211 iron. pipe;
THENCE North 41° 2511 East 513.2 feet to a 1/2 11 iron pipe;
THENCE East 22. 5 feet to a 1 I 211 iron pipe;
THENCE South 384.7 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING~ and
CONTAINING 1. 70 acres of land~ more or less.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
That a 3 to 1 parking ratio1. be maintained.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots~ tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof sh
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance herewith;
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
