HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4751-1965 - Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, Zone Case No. 1335 - 07/22/1965()-=!--? 2-JQ(nC ORDINANCE NO. 4751 oe-'~ ... laue:; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP Ot THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLL<MING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO~ 1335: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 6, BLOCK E, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXASt FROM AN "R·l'' TO AN ''M·l" ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREASt the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendaticnt which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment I to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article aOaaf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutest amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journa more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to s~id notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposa and, after said hearing it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordiaance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading thereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1335 Change a tract of land out of Section 6, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-l11 to an 11M-l 11 Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: A tract of land being about 22 acres out of Section Six (6), Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; BEGINNING at a point which bears 30 feet north and 47.7 feet east from the southwest corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 6, Block E; said point being the southeast corner of a 1.08 acre tract of land previously· deeded to SWPS; THENCE West along the south line of the SWPS tract a distance of 174.2 feet to a point in the East line of a dedicated alletJ THENCE South 30 feet to the 1/2 section line; THENCE East along the 1/2 section line a distance of 1445.8 feet; ORD. NO. 4 751 THENCE North 675.03 feet to a point in the South right of way line of the Loop; THENCE Southwesterly along a segment of a curve to the right a distance of 2.8 feet to a point of tangency; THENCE West along the south right of way line of the Loop a distance of 1778.5 feet to a point in the east line of an alley, said piinthbeing 20 feet east of the northwest corner of Lot 1, Del Prado Addition; THENCE South along the East line of an!lley a distance of 169 feet; THENCE s. 45° E. a distance of 14.14 feet;' THENCE East 357 feet; THENCE South 196 feet; THENCE East 142.7 feet; THENCE South 270 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. (See Page 212A for Condition) SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots, fracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
