AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE G.
FICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1314: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF BLOC
22. SUBURBAN HOMES ADDITION~ CITY OF LUBBOCK .. LUBBOCK COUNTY"
TEXAS~ FROM AN 11 R ... 2" TO AN "R ... 3'' ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO
CONDITIONS.,
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom ...
mendation., izich was received by the City Council and after due consideration.,
the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in. the public interest; and.,
WHEREAS~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendme
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fuJW complied with1 as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1965 as well as notices
provided by Article 1 Ollf., Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes., amended in 1961,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more th
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in. the City Council Room on. the second floor of the City Hall., Lubbock,.
Texas1 at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after sa
hearing, it was by the City Council determined tha}: it would be in the public inter
due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be arne
in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinan
having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordin.ance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1314
Change a tract of land out of Block 22, Suburban Homes Addition#
City of Lubbock,. Lubbock County~ Texas~ from an 11R-2" to an
"R-3" Zoning District. Property is further described by metes
and bounds to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point 15t East of the Southeast Corner of Lot 1
said Addition# in the North ROW line of 44th Street;
THENCE North 122. 5' along the East line of an alley to a point;
THENCE North 45° East 14. 141 to a point in the south line of
an alley;
THENCE East 17 01 along the South line of said alley;
THENCE South along the West line of an alley 132. sr to a point
in the North ROW line of 44th Street;
THENCE West 180t along the North line of 44th Street tO the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That development be limited to apartments only.
2. That 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment unit.
3. That 1 1/2 paved off-street parking spaces with a minimum size of
8 1/21 x 181~ be provided for each apartment unit.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and ~ffective date of this
Ordinance, said lots., tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
.shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
