INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF SAID STREETS AND ALLEYS. 00 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that portions of the streets and alleys, as hereinafter more particularly described, are no longer needed for street or alley purposes or for public use; and, WHEREAS .. the City Council finds it would be to the public use to close, vacate and abandon the same for street and alley purposes and to the public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT portions of Oak Avenue, East 26th Street, East.,.West alleys in Blocks 11, 12 and 13, Sieber Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, Weber Avenue and East 27th Street, as hereinafter described, is shall be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street and alley purposes and for public use; said tracts of land being more fully described 0 as follows, toawit: TRACT 1 Oak Avenue from a point 120 feet South of the South line of East 25th Street to the North line of East 26th Street. (At the second passage, quit claim all of this tract to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock as the abutting property owner, both sides. ) TRACT 2 East 26th Street from the West line of Quirt Avenue to the Northt:!t east line of Weber Avenue. (At the second passage, quit claim all of this tract to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock as the abutting property owner, both sides.) THACT 3 East 26th Street from the West line of Redbud Avenue to the East line of Quirt Avenue. (At the second passage, quit claim all of this tract to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock as the abutting prop:erty owner~ both sides.) ---• TRACT 4 The East•West alley in Block 12, Siebel' Addition to the City of LubbockJ Lubbock County 1 Texas from the West line of Quirt Avenue to the East line of Oak Avenue. TRACT 6 A portion of the East..,West alley in Block 13, Sieber Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 11, Block 13, Sieber Addition; Thence South a distance of 15 feet; Thence West a distance of 162 feet to the Northeast line of Weber Avenue; Thence North 39° 46t West along said Northeast line of Weber Avenue to its intersection with the South line of Lot 14, Block 13 .. Sieber Addition; Thence East to the point of Beginning. (At the second passage, quit claim all of this tract to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock as owner of both sides of the abutting property.) TRACT 7 Part of Weber Avenue described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block n .. Sieber Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County .. Lubbock County, Texas; Thence West along the North line of East 27th Street and along :the South line of Lots 20, 19, 18 and 17 of said Block 13. a distance of 147.35 feet to the intersection of said line with the Northeast line of Weber=-Avenue; Thence South 39° 46l East along said Northeast line of Web~: Avenue a distance of 40.58 feet to tits intersection with a curve t<D the right; Thence Northeasterly around said curve to the right, having a raV.ias of 251.61 feet and an internal angle of 28° 51·1 5011 for a chord distance of 125.42 feet to the point of tangency, the same " being the point of Beginning. (At the second passage of the ordinance of closure, three separate quit claim instruments should be authorized and executed. (At the second passage, a quit claim deed should be authorized by both Southeast Lubbock Development Corporation and the City of Lubbock to the Urban R-enewal Agency of the City of Lubbock and issued to the Urban Renewal Agency. See map). SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to make the Official Map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portion of the street, avenue and alley as described in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned showing the number of this ordinance and the date of its final passage.
