AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDIN-
ANCES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK⢠BEING ORDINANCE NO. 1302; PROVID-
ING FOR THE SALE OF PROPERTY SEPARATELY OR IN LOTS~ EXCEPT THAT
MOTOR VEHICLES THAT ARE OPERATIVE UNDER THEffi OWN POWER SHALL
BE SOLD SEPARATELY.
WHEREAS~ it is found and determined by the City Council., after due con-
sideration~ that it is in the best interest of the public welfare~ safety~ and econom
to allow the Purchasing Agent in his discretion to sell abandoned, stolen or re-
covered property of every kind separately or in lots including motor vehicles that
are not operative under their own power~ except that motor vehicles that are
operative under their own power shall be sold separately; NOW. THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT Section 27-4 of the Code of Ordinances., City of Lubbock~ Texas~ is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 27-4. Sale of property separately 011 in lots.
When the requirements of the preceding Section have been
met,. the property shall be offered for sale at public auction to the
highest bidder for each piece of property separately or assembled
in lots.J which ever in the discretion of the Purchasing Agent shall
offer the best price obtainable for the property, provided that motor
vehicles that are operative under their own power shall be sold sep-
arately. 11
