AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1287: CHANGE THE NORTH 60 __ FEET OF LOT 13.,
BLOCK 15., AND LOT 17, BLOCK 14:. VANDELIA VILLAGE ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK FROM AN 11R-111 TOA "R-2~' ZONING DISTRICT AND CHANG
THE REMAINING PORTIONS OF LOT 13:. BLOCK 15.., AND LOT !l.'l2 BLOCK 14..,
AND BLOCK 26.,. VANDELIA VILLAGE .ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOC~
THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM AN 11 R-1" TO A "R-3" ZON-
ING DISTRICT~· SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation
which was received by the City Council and after due consideration., the City Counci
finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
interest; and,
WHEREAS .. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
vided by Article 1011f, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1961., and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council
on such proposed amendment.., and the public hearing according to said notice was d y
held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas,
at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and., after said hearing,
it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest.., due to
changed conditions., that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th
manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THERE-
FORE~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1287
Change the North 60t of Lot 13, Block 15., and Lot 17.., Block 1411
Vandelia Village .Addition to the City of Lubbock from an -"R-111 to
a "R-211 Zoning District and change the remaining portions of Lot
13., Block 15 and Lot 17, Block 14.:~ and Block 26~ Vandelia Village
Addition to the City of Lubbock and the following described property
from an "R-1" to a "R-3" Zoning District.
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of said Lot, 13., Block 15.,
Vandelia Village Addition;
THENCE South 121.06 feet to a point in the North ROW line of
66th Street;

THENCE East along said North ROW line of said 66th Street to its
point of intersection with the West ROW line of Avenue T;
THENCE North 8° oot East a distance of 138.42 feet to a point;
THENCE South 78° 24t West a distance of 210 feet to a point;
THENCE North 6° 33f East a distance of 63. 14 feet to a point;
0 THENCE South 78 24t West a distance of 10. 52 feet to a point.,
said point also being the Southeast corner of Lot 13., Block 15•
of said Vandelia Village Addition;
THENCE South 78° 24t West a distance of 49.0 feet to a point;
THENCE South 79° 02t West a distance of 125. 66 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING.
AND also the following described property.
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of said Lot 17., Block 14,
Vandelia Village Addition;
THENCE South 86.49 feet to a point., said point lying in the North
ROW line of 66th Street;
THENCE East along the North ROW line of said 66th Street., to its
point <:>f intersection with the West ROW line of Temple Avenue;
THENCE North 112. 18 feet to a point., said point also being the South-
east corner of said Lot 17., Block 14, Vandelia Village Addition;
THENCE South 81° 0111 West a distance of 164.52 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That the property be developed with apartments only ..
2. That 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment
unit.
3. That 2 paved off-street parking areas be provided for each apart-
ment unit.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Or-
dinance., said lots~ tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord-
ance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED;
