HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4574-1964 - $1,760.00 Street- Acquire Additional ROW For Quaker Ave. GWO 10216 - 11/24/1964l \ -24--l9(oLf' FORM L-2 ORDINANCE NO. 4574 ------- AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds it is necessary to appropriate certain specific funds out of bond funds for an approved project, and this ordinance deals with the daily operation of City departments in the public interest which creates an emergency; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUOCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: There is hereby appropriated out of the following described bond fund, to-wit: Street Improvement Fund The sum $ 1~760.00 For the following purpose: To acquire additional right of way for Quaker Avenue from George Goodgion out of the Northwest 1/4 of section 8, Block E~2, Lubbock County Texas. Charge to GWO 10216. Land ~ $875.00 Damage to Remainder ~ $885.00 For legal description see attached field notes. WHEREAS, an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to this ordinance, the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate council meetings be d~spensed with; and this ordinance shall be ef fective from the date of its passage. FINANCE OFFICER APPROVED Description • George Goodgion property on Quaker Avenue A parcel of land out of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 8, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, more fully described by metes and hounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the Northwest i/4 of Section 8, Block E-2, said point being 1015.0 feet South of the Northwest Corner of said Section; THENCE South a distance of 150.0 feet to a point; THENCE East a distance of 180.0 feet to a point; THENCE North a distance of 17.5 feet to a point; THENCE West a distance of 135.0 feet to a point; THENCE North a distance of 132.5 feet to a point; THENCE West a distance of 45.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
