10 FOOT WATER LINE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOTS 4 AND S, VENTURE
ADDMON TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, AND AS FOOT L. P. & L.
UNDERGROUND UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOTS 4 AND S, VENTURE
ADDMON TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, EACH OF
WIDCH IS MORE PARTICULAIU. Y DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITYENGJNEER TO MARK TilE OFFICIAL
MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING,
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FORPUBUCATION.
WHEREAS, the City CounCil finds that portion of the easements hereinafter
described in the body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for easement purposes and
for public use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be in the public interest to close,
vacate and abandon the same for easement purposes and for public use; NOW
1HEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCll. OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECfiON 1. 1HAT those portions of the easements as hereinafter as hereinafter
described shall BE and the same is hereby dosed, vacated and abandoned for easement
purposes and for public use, such easement portions are more particularly described as
follows:
TRACT 1
A 10 foot by 23 foot water line easement to be closed located in Lot S, Venture
Addition to the City ofLubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, a replat ofLot 1,
Conover Addition and a portion ofLot 1, Gilbert Addition to the City ofLubbock:,
Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest comer of this tract from whence the Northwest
comer ofLot S, Venture Addition bearsS. 8gc'S7'22" W. a distance of64.00 feet;
lHENCE N. 8gc'S7'22" E. a distance of10.00 feet;
THENCE S. 00002'38" E. a distance of23.00 feet;

SECTION 3. THAT should any section. paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or
word of this Ordinance be ·declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason. the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.

SECTION 4. mAT the City Secretary of the City ofLubbock is hereby
authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as
an alternative method provided by law.
