HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4556-1964 - Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, Zone Case No. 1142-B. - 11/05/1964J MYT:kks ORDINANCE NO.~ 4556 ------AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO."' 11-42-B: CHANGE TRACT E~ MACKENZIE TERRAC ADDITION~ CITY OF LUBBOCK~ LUBBOCK COUNTY1 TEXAS~ FROM A 11C-2A" TO A "C-311 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoniqg districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation.~ which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendme to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 2 0 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1 Ollf.~ Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Coun- cil on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lub- bock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest.~ due to changed conditions, that the Zoning .Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading herrof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: ZONE CASE NO. 1142-B Change Tract E, Mackenzie Terrace Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Te:acas, from a 11C-2A11 to a "C-311 Zoning District: SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: That signs be limited to one pylon sign with a maximum height of 55 feet and one with a maximym of 35 feet and other signs shall be placed on the building not to exceed a height of 3 feet above the building. Lighted signs above the building shall be shielded on the back side. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Or- dinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall e changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord- ance herewith.
