HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4532-1964 - Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, Zone Change No. 1265 - 10/08/1964MYT:kks \0 -00-\'1t.o4 \0 -~-lotto4 ORDINANCE NO. 45j2 ------ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CHANGE NO. 1265: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 8~ BLOCK E ... 2, LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS., FROM AN uR-1u TO AN "R-2" ZONING DISTRICT;ISUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Counc finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and~ WHEREAS .. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953 .. and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interes , due to changed conditions., that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amend ed in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordi- nance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an the same are hereby amended as follows,. to-wit: ZONE CASE NO.I 1265 Change a tract of land out of Section 8., Block E ... 2, Lubbock County,. Texas, from an 11R•1 11 to an "R-2" Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING 301 North and 301 West of theSE Corner of the NW 1/4 of Section 8, Block E ~2; THENCE West 4821; THENCE North 125t; THENCE East ~82t; THENCE South 1251 to the PaNT OF BEGINNING. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: That each apartment unit shall have not less than 1250 square feet of floor space. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots# tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map -is amended in accordance herewith.
