ORDINANCE NO. -----------------
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1243: CHANGE THAT PORTION OF A TRACT OF
LAND THAT IS NOT NOW IN THE "C-411 ZONING DISTRICT_. FROM AN "R-1 11
TO A "C-4" ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendati
which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Coun
finds that makingfue proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well asgiving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011f, Vernon 1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more tha
fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of ;the City Hall, Lubbock,
Texas, at which time persons appearing in support of the proposal; and, after said
hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public intere •
due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amend
in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinanc
having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW_.
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an
the aame are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1243
Change that tract of land that is not now in the 11C-411' Zoning
District, from an "R-1" to a "C-4" Zoning District. Said
property is further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the East R-0-W of Idalou Road at the
North line of the first alley north of E,. Main Street;
THENCE East 5001 more or less to a point in the most western
line of an Northeast-Southwest alley;
THENCE Northeasterly 93 01 more or less, along said alley line to
a point even with the most northern line of the first alley north and
parallel to E. 8th Street.

THENCE Northwesterly in line with the most northern line of the first
alley north and parallel to E. 8th Street tq a point in the East R-0-W
line of Idalou Road;
THENCE Southeasterly along the East R-0-W line of Idalou Road
to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordin ce
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed t o
the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herew· h ..
