AN APPROPRIATIOO ORDINANCE ------
WHmEAS, the City Commission or the City or Lubbock finds it is nec-
essary to appropriate certain specific funds out of bond funds for an ap-
proved projeet, and this ordinance deals with the daily operation of City de-
partments in the public interest which creates an emergency; NOW, THERE-
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCMML<>SION OF THE CITY OF WBBOCK:
There is hereby appropriated out of the following described bond fund,
to-wit: Tra£.fic Signal
The sum I 800. 00
For the following purpose: 50% of installation costs of railroad
flashing signals at the P. & S.F.R.R. Crossing of Slide Road
with its Seagraves Branch.
WHER!lS, an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to this
ordinance, the enaetment of this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gencr,y measure thereby creating a public necessity that the rule re-
quiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate com-
mission meetings be dispensed with; and this ordinance shall be effec-
tive from the date of its passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
