HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 10198-1999 - Amending Chapter 28 Fees For Spetic Tank Emptying Fees. - 09/23/1999First Reading Sept. 23. 1999 Item Ro. 27 Second Reading Oct. 14. 1999 Item Ro. 17 ORDINANCE NO. 10198 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 28 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, WITH REGARD TO FEES FOR SEPTIC TANK EMPTYING FEES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to make the changes hereinafter stated with regard to the fees for septic tank emptying services by the City; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Regulation 8 of Section 28-128 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: Regulation 8. Load fees. Each truck load of seven hundred fifty (750) gallons or less will be assessed a minimum dump fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00). Tank truck loads in excess of seven hundred fifty (750) gallons will be assessed a fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) plus fourteen cents ($0.14) per one hundred (1 00) gallons over the seven hundred fifty (750) gallon minimum. SECTION 2. THAT should any paragraph, section, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method of publication as provided by law.
