ORDINANCE NO,. 4382
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOL LOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1218: CHANGE LOTS 25 AND 26._ BLOCK 1~ MYRICK
ADDITIONa CITY OF LUBBOC~ LUBBOCK COUNTY. TEXAS., FROM AN 11R-2"
TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION:3.
WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio ~
which was received by the City Council· and after due consideratio~ the City Coun
finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
intere st; anda
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with~ as weD as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro
vided by Article 10 1lf~ Vernon t s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 19 53, and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen ( 15} days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was dul
held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock.,. Texa
at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing
it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in
the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance
having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW,.
THEREFORE~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCn... OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 169 5 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are he reby amended as follows. to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1218
Change Lots 25 and 26, Block 1 .. Myrick Addition~ City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas~ from an 11R-2" to an "R-311 Zoning District,
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. The property described hereinabove shall be limited for use as a
par king lot only.
2. A ~lid six ( 6) foot permanent type screening fence shall be erected;
said fence to be in compliance with Section 15. 1-2-2 of Zoning Or-
dinance 169 5 of the City of Lubbock# and such fence shall be per-
manently maintained by the owner of the property described herein.
3. The ingress and egress to the said property shall be approved by
the City of Lubbock Traffic Engineer under terms of the driveway
ordinances of the City of Lubbock.
4. The parking lot shall be paved~ and all lights designed so as
not to cast any light 'glare on property zoned for residential
use in the area of the property described herein.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Or-
dinance~ said lots~ tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED • .
