AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE ORDINANCE ENTITLED uAN
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH
SIDES OF 50TH STREET AT THE PLACE AND LOCATION AS MORE PARTICU-
LARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDIN-
ANCE; PROVIDING THAT NO BUILDING OR OTHER STRUCTURE SHALL HERE
AFTER BE ERECTED~ RE-ERECTED~ OR SUBSTANTIALLY REPAIRED
BETWEEN SUCH BUILDING LINES; REQUIRlliG EXISTING STRUCTURES ON 0
BETWEEN THE BUILDING LINES HEREIN ESTABLISHED TO CONFORM TO
SUCH BUILDING LINES WITHlli FIVE (5) YEARS; DEFINING BUILDING LINE
AND PROVIDING THAT SET BACK REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE CITYtS
ZONING ORDINANCE AND AMENDMENTS THERETO BE DETERMlliED FROM
THE BUILDING LINES HERElli ESTABLISHED; PROVIDlliG EXCEPTIONS FOR
UTILITY EXTENSIONS AND PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDlliG A SAVINGS
CLAUSE•'" WHICH ORDlliANCE WAS PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS ON THE 9thDAY OF APRIL# 1959,. AND RECORDE
IN MINUTE BOOK NUMBER 18~ PAGE 5,. ITEM 13~ OF THE MlliUTE OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2740 was enacted to prohibit the repair and
replacement of structures and trees in the area between the building lines as
established because of the widening, improvement and opening of that part of
50th Street as described in Ordinance No. 2740 along the North and South sides
of 5Oth Street~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has now acquired the right ... of-way neces-
sary for the widening, opening and improving that part of 5oth Street as describe
in Ordinance No. 2740, the bullding line Ordinance is no longer in the public
convenience, safety and necessity: NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 2740 is hereby in all things expressly " '
repealed.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED ..
