AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO,. 1147: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SEC-
TION 77, BLOCK A# LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS FROM PRESENT ZONE TO
AN "M-1" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION.
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning district as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio ~
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in
the public interest; and,.
WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953 and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbo
Texas~ at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and,. after said
hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public I
interest, due to changed conditions. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 169 5 and the Official Zoning Map BE an
the same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO., 1147
Change a tract of land out of Section 77, Block A, Lubbock County,
Texas, and being described as follows:
Bordered on the North by Loop 289; bordered on the East by North
Quirt Avenue; bordered on the South by the Panhandle and Santa Fe
Railroad and bordered on the West by North Ash Avenue; less a tract
of land in the Southwest Corner of the above described property which
is presently zoned "M-1" and "M-2",.
from the present zone to an 11M -111 Zoning District.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
THAT the property be developed in accordance with City Plartning
Departmentts Plan 43-B~ said plan being on file in the office of the
Secretary of the Planning and Zoning Commission~ and that such uses
shall not include those permitted and described in R-1~ R-2~ and R-3
Districts and Sections 11-.1-7. 11 .. 2-4, 12.1-11~ 12.1-12. 12.1-21.
12.1-25~ 13.1-8., 13.1-19., 13.1-45., and 13 .. 1-48 of the comprehensive
Zoni:tlg Ordinance of the City of Lubbock, and being Ordinance No. 169 5
of the City of Lubbock.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Or-
dinance said lots~ tracts .and parcels of land de scribed in S ection 1 hereof shall
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
