HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4294-1964 - Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, Zone Case NO. 1194. - 02/18/1964.- DR:djl AN ORDINANCE AMENI;>ING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAJ{E THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1194: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO 16~ BLOCK B~ LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM AN "R-2" TO A "C-1" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen a- tion,. which was received by the City Counc il and after due consideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 101lf, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more tha fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public bearing according to said notice was dul held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texa r at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinanc having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1194 Change a tract of land out of Section 16, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas from 11R-211 to "C-1., Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: A tract of land ggr wide by approximately 140t in depth and BEGINNING at a point 330r West and 269' North of the SE Corner of Section 16, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West 99r to a point for corner; THENCE North 1401 more or less to the South boundary line of 49th Street; THENCE East along the South boundary line of 49th Street., 991 to .point for corner; · ~~~9F======~==~--~=-====~=================--=========*= THENCE South 140' more or less to PLACE OF BEGINNING .. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 1. That the use be restricted to a single family residence and dance studio only. 2. That only one "outside11 employee be used in connection with the dance studio. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord ance herewith.
