Zone Case No. 1183. - 12/05/1963' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1183: CHANGE 3 TRACTS OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 5 AND SECTION 6, BLOCK o. LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS. FROM AN ltR-1 II TO AN 11M-211 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consider- ation, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest, and, WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend- ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giveng notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Moringn Avalanche JournaJ more than fifteen (15} days prior1o the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing acco:rding to s id notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the Cit) Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposa ; and., after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO ... 1183 Change3 tracts of land out of Section 5 and Section 6,. Block 0, Lubbock County, T-exas, from an "R ... l" to an "M .... 2" Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: TRACT 1 The East 126 acres of Section 5, Block 0., Lubbock County, Texas, being that part of Section 5., Block 0~ bounded on the North by Farm Road 40 (Acuff Road or 4th Street); on the East by Olive Street if extended; on the West by Loop 289; and on the South by East 19th Street. TRACT 2 DR:ks 11-2$-63 The West 150' of the North one-half of Section 6, Block 0, bounded on the North by East 4th Street (Acuff Road); on the West by Olive Street if extended; on the South by the 1 I 2 Section Line; and on the East by the City Limits; TRACT 3 THE West 150t of the Northwest 77 acres of the South 112 of Section 6, Block 0, Lubbock County, Texas; bounded on the North by the 1 I 2 Section line; on the West by Olive Street, if extended; on the South by the Fort Worth & Denver Railroad Right-<>f-way; and on the East b y the City Limits. SECTION',2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance~ said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
