AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW-
ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1172: CHANGE LOT 1, BLOCK 28, BJ!I:K
SUBDIVISION,. CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS• FROM A
"Co:~l" TO A "Cw3 11 ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomw
mendation., which was received by the City Commission and after due consider ...
ationJ> the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter
set out will be in the public interest,. and~
WHEREAS• all contlitions preced:mt required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well
as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well
as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amende
in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journa.lj
more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the I
City Commission on such propos ed amendment, and the public hearing accord-
ing to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second
floor of the City Hall., Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Com""~1ission
deter mined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditiOns,
that the Zoning urdinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner herein-
after set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been intro
duced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance N o. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map
BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 117 2
Change Lot 1, Blcok 28, Beck Subdivision, City of Lubbock~
Lubbock County1 Texas. from a "C-1 11 to a 11C-311 Zoning
District.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance .. said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicat ed and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith..
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
