HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 4259-1963 - Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, Zone Case No 1171. - 12/05/1963AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1171: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO 6, BLOCK E-2~ LUBBOCK COUNTY., TEXAS., FROM AN "R-111 TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITION., WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio ~ which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration) the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be i the public interest; and~ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro! vided by Article lOllf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commissio 1 on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbo Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1171 Change a tract of land out of Section 6, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-1" to an "R-3" Zoning District. Said property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which is 1345.41 East of the Southwest corner of the Southeast 1 I 4 of Section 6, Block E-2, Lubbock County.. Texas; THENCE West a distance of 942. 07 feet; THENCE North a distance of 308 feet; THENCE East a distance of 942.07 feet; THENCE South a distance of 308 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SUBJECT TO CONDITION: THAT property be developed according to plan submitted at hearing,. said plan being on file in the office of the Secretary of the Plarming and Zoning Commission. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi'- nance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord ance herewith. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
