ORDINANCE NO. 4211
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE
OFF ICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1144: CHANGE THE EAST 1/2 OF BLOCKS 1., 2. AND
3~ PICKETT & PENNEY ADDITION. CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY~
TEXAS, FROM AN "R-2" TO AN 11R-3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITD ~
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation,
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in 1
t he public interest; and~ ~
WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
hotices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
f ided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and not! e
r as duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen ( 15) ~
Clays prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such pro-1
posed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in I
the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas,
at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, I
it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest,
due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended
in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and fu is Ordinance
having b een introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 169 5 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1144
Change the East 1 I 2 of Blocks 1, 2 and 3.. Pickett & Penney Addition,
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 'R-2'' to an 11R-311
Zoning District. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That 1 off-street parking space be provided for each apartment unit.
2. That 1 off-street parking space be provided for each 200 square feet
of floor space for each office building, hospital, clinic, or similar use.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after pas sage and effective date of this Ordinan e.
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed I
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith
